Legal Protection for Consumers in the Face of AI Technologies

Abstract

This study aims to address the problem of determining legal liability for damages that consumers may be exposed to while contracting with smart systems that act as "smart agents" as the weak party in consumer contracts. Therefore, through this research, we will address the adequacy of traditional foundations of civil liability to meet the challenges posed by artificial intelligence and propose new legal mechanisms that are compatible with the technical environment.
