Abstract

Algeria is endowed with numerous natural thermal baths, which constitute a valuable asset for the thermal tourism sector. These thermal establishments attract both domestic and international tourists due to their rich resources and the distinctive properties of their natural waters. Algeria possesses considerable thermal resources and potential that are distributed throughout the country. According to the official website of the Ministry of Tourism and Traditional industry, the latest inventory of thermal water springs, conducted in 2015, identified 282 thermal springs, of which 100 were considered suitable for development through new thermal tourism projects, including 34 thermal baths that were traditionally operated.
