Alternatives to public action within the framework of transitional justice in light of the new Code of Criminal Procedure No. 25-14

In the context of strengthening transitional justice trends based on the consecration of human rights principles, the Algerian legislator has rushed, through the new Code of Criminal Procedure No. 25-14, to introduce alternatives to public criminal proceedings that guarantee the protection of the rights and freedoms of individuals and aim to reform the judicial system by simplifying trial procedures and speeding up the adjudication of simple cases, such as the criminal order and immediate appearance It also expanded the scope for negotiated justice based on mutual consent by implementing a system of mediation and prior notice, as well as postponing criminal prosecution of legal persons.
